Convert rice straw into biomass fuel pellets and supply to cement plants or power plants to recycle crop waste. Rice straw pellet is an important renewable resource. The paddy straw production industry has been widely promoted in the Indian market.
Biomass agriculture straw is a ubiquitous crop by-product in many countries. The pressed rice straw can be used as fuel pellets, feed pellets for cattle and sheep, and bedding material for cattle and horses. Therefore, it’s true that the straw pellet machine opens a new world of straw applications.
There are two main types of straw pellet machines, flat-die rice straw pellet machines and ring-die straw pellet machines. The forming die design and application field of the two machines are different. The flat die pellet machine is mainly used in small pellet production projects, the machine capacity is between 80 kg/h and 1500 kg/h, while the ring die pellet mill has a machine output of between 800 kg/h and 4500 kg/h, so ring die pellet machines are more used in large projects.
Flat-die pellet machines are mainly used for small-scale production. The output range starts from 80kg/h. They are mainly used in families, workshops, farms, breeding plants, or small pellet plants in the initial stage. The reputation of flat-die pellet mills is not good in the market, that’s because too many pellet mills factories sell differential-type light pellet machines. Although the purchase cost is low, the failure rate is higher and the service life is shorter. But why do we still manufacture it? If you want to buy a small pellet machine with super high quality, then you must choose us.
The ring die pellet machine is the most commonly used type for large-scale pellet production on the market with high output, stable operation, and easy maintenance features. The pellet machine output range is mainly from 1 ton/h to 3 tons/h. However, the rice straw pellet machine we developed can achieve a capacity of 4.7-4.8 tons per hour maximum, which is much higher than the capacity of standard models on the market now. The following are the advantages of our machines.

Crushed rice straws have similar fiber properties to the sugarcane bagasse. It’s very light in specific gravity and has a very fluffy texture. This causes the material lifting blade in the pelletizing chamber to lift the material too high easily, resulting in very low output. At the same time, the rice straw fiber properties are not the same as wood sawdust. Therefore, standard pellet mills in the market are not suitable for producing rice straw pellets because they will face problems like low output and waste materials clogging when feeding, which will affect the normal operation of the pellet machine.
That’s the reason why we developed this specialized rice straw pellet mill to maximum capacity and to make sure running is more stable.
How to make straw pellets? From straw to fuel pellets, it needs to go through primary crushing, fine crushing, drying, pellet making, cooling, packaging, and other processes. Generally, most raw materials do not need to be dried because the moisture content is mostly between 15-25%, and can be used directly to press pellets. However, how to choose a crusher during the crushing process needs to be determined according to whether the material is straw bales or bulk straw. Moreover, the straw crusher generally needs to be customized according to the raw materials, otherwise, the output will not be up to the rated capacity as the feeding limitation.
There is a market for making straw pellets and it can be profitable, but several conditions must be met. First, the purchase cost of straws is low. Second, the output of the rice straw pellet-making machine cannot be low. The second point is the most important.
Generally, the smallest straw pellet machine is 7.5 kilowatts. If equipped with an 11-kilowatt straw crusher, the total cost will be about US$5,000-6,000. But this is generally only suitable for families or small farms.
Generally, if the pellet mill output is less than 1,000 kilograms per hour, a flat-die pellet mill is used. If the output is higher than 1,000 kilograms per hour, then a ring-die pellet machine is better.
